After talking with them for a few minutes I also discovered the people at Richards also let me leave knowing I didn't have a brake controller -- again something as a new camper I didn't really know about. You can say I should've done more research, but isn't that why you go to a dealership?

i barrowed a brand new toy hauler that was bought here and they installed tie downs and they ripped out of the floor of camper and my harley flipped they used screws for tie downs in a cheesy floor should use bolts and washers. they knew we would be hauling harleys
I am new to camping and expected to be able to trust someone I spoke to regarding basic items like safety. But making a sale was the only thing these guys cared about. I have a small SUV & asked if I would need things like sway bars to tow a small camper. I was told "you don't need that stuff for this one" and pushed into completing a sale.
2 minutes on the road and I knew something was wrong. Stopped at the bigger dealer just down the road Hayletts & before I could get out of my car one of their salesmen came out of the building to tell me I really needed proper hitching.
